Why I care

I have spent the last eight years battling misconceptions of the United States at home that have become increasingly difficult to battle, and defending policies that have become very nearly impossible to defend. It is my deepest wish that this November, all of that will change.

Let me be clear: I love this country. In almost as many ways as my own country has, it has made me who I am. It is for precisely this reason that I want to add my voice to the millions of American voices that have called for an end to the misguided policies that have come to define the United States on the world stage.

YesWeCare helped me realize how many young people like me there are all around the world. Young people who believe in the role the United States has to play in building a more progressive world; in ending world poverty, defending human rights everywhere and cleaning up and sustaining our planet. So even though I can't vote, I have helped establish YesWeCare in solidarity with all of those who can. I want them to know I care, and that once they have made their decision, I will be ready to work together with them to build the world we want.

Join us in letting the American electorate know: Yes We Care!
